Politics.  What exactly is politics?  Politics is everything and everywhere.  Politics is debates, struggles for power, leadership.  When I think of politics, everyday life comes to my mind.  Elections, Government, leaders, and power are all apart of politics.  I also have found politics in my workplace, in the school systems, and family.  I work at Kroger and politics is a big part of surviving and keeping employment.  Yes, we have a Union, but trust me, these people are ruthless and pull out all the stops to make sure they get their way.  It reminds me of the commercials that come out against both parties of the Presidential campaign.  If you are on the wrong side of the Political "campaign", anything can be done to ruin your image and get you "out of the race".  Basically if you aren't in the favoring sides' corner kiss your career goodbye and plan on making a change in your job.  Not to say all workplaces are like this, but I'm sure there are a lot that are.  Politics is everywhere and whether it be some sort of debate between groups of people demanding rights or acceptance, like the homosexuals, on a grand scale, or whether it be petty greed for power in a workplace, such as my own, on the small scale.  It is interesting to look around day to day and notice all the scenarios and situations that have some sort of politics involved.
"Mean Girls"
When I think of this movie I think of politics on a small scale level.  High School, actually school in general, can be home to a great deal of politics.  Most of us has had their run in with the "popular kids" at school.  In this scene of the movie Regina George is giving the new girl Cady Heron the rules of their high school.  Really the politics of their school.  Sharing the knowledge of what is socially acceptable and letting her know who is the leader and in power.
